- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
- Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports warranty crossover notes)
- Interact with customers sales support and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract
- Strong field troubleshooting skills on the Caterpillar mining product line is required
- C175 Tier 4 troubleshooting and repairs experience
- Completion of Finning S-Levels Failure Analysis Machine Electronic Controls and Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
- 797 B&F 793 C&D 24 H&M and D11R&T machine and engine experience would be considered an asset
Important Detail:
- This position is on a 7x7 continuous days/nights shift rotation based at our CNRL mine site shop facility
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable
- Camp and flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
