A Day in the Life* of a Mechanic:
- Maintenance or repairs of diesel CNG gas and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy duty equipment
- Using various power tools hand instruments and cutting-edge equipment
- Completing daily reports work orders and ordering necessary parts
- Planning and scheduling repairs in M5 planner and procure parts
- Assisting in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedule
Whats Required:
Mechanics must have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
- 1 year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Follow detailed instructions work independently and maintain accurate records
- Willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
- Exert physical effort including pushing pulling bending and lifting items up to 100 lbs.
- Use fine motor coordination with arm hand finger and leg dexterity
- Ability to kneel crawl and climb
