Position Overview

The Heavy-DutyForklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of tubular products pipe casing and heavy equipment within a fast-paced outdoor logistics yard. Using large-capacity forklifts you will load and unload flat deck trailers organize inventory throughout the yard and support daily logistics operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety accuracy and customer service. Please note this role isNOT a warehouse position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with yard labourers to load and unload tubular pipes onto trucks

• Offload incoming tubular products from railcars and clear debris

• Assist truck and delivery drivers with safe and efficient loading/unloading

• Perform material handling duties such as counting sorting packing and unpacking

• Ensure all product quality meets company and customer standards

• Meet daily productivity and efficiency targets

• Report and assist with equipment maintenance issues

• Support general yard and warehouse clean-up maintenance and administrative duties

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience operating heavy-duty forklifts (up to 30000 lbs) in an outdoor industrial or logistics yard.
• Experience handling tubular products pipe casing steel or other oversized industrial materials is required.
• Proven experience loading and unloading flat deck trailers safely and efficiently.
• Experience operating gas diesel or electric forklifts with capacities up to 30000 lbs.
• Previous experience in pipe/casing operations industrial material handling or inventory control is considered a strong asset.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights.
• Valid drivers licence with a clean drivers abstract.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal record check pre-employment drug and alcohol test and fit-for-duty requirements.

Skills & Attributes:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Reliable punctual and willing to work overtime on-call or weekends as needed

• Excellent teamwork communication and time management skills
