Haul Truck Operator

The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for experienced 740 and 777 Haul Truck Operatorswith large earthworks construction / mining project experience.

We offer:

• 2 week on / 2 week off rotations; 12-hour days; nights
• Fly in / Fly out
• Competitive hourly rate with Overtime pay.

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities.
• Maintains equipment in good operating condition reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
• Drive articulated haul trucks along dsignated mine quarry or heavy construction routes.
• Complete production reporting and other documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
• Utilize tow-way radios to coordinate loading and dumping zones with excavators and dispatch.
• Operate other heavy equipment if required.
• Follow all site company and client specific safety protocols policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 2 Years experience operating Off Highway Haul Trucks and Articulated Haul Trucksin a road building mining and/or industrial setting.
• Operating experience on remote Civil Construction/Heavy Construction Project sites
• Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life.
• Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers clients and sub trades).
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness.
• Experience with radio communications and protocols.
