QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements
The selected candidate must hold an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in graduate studies (preference will be given to those enrolled in a Faculty of Health graduate program though those in math or related fields are still encouraged to apply). The candidate should have graduate-level coursework and/or experience in statistics specifically quantitative analysis.
Experiential Qualifications
Candidates must have skills in basic quantitative analysis particularly with larger datasets and the ability to interpret and communicate quantitative findings. The candidate should clearly outline the kinds of analyses they would be confident conducting. Free or open-source software skills (e.g. R Python or similar) is encouraged. The candidate should also specify software that they would be comfortable using. Interest in and/or experience with Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) projects will be considered an asset.
Course Specific Requirements
Dr. Michelle Ogrodnik is seeking to hire one part-time GTA to support her teams LITE Grant titled Can a short module make a difference Teaching the ethics and essentials of Generative AI in higher education. The selected candidate will be expected to analyze and interpret findings from a pre-collected data set. They will also support the communication of key findings through data visualization and a written report. The selected candidate will work alongside an undergraduate research assistant who will be primarily focused on other knowledge translation opportunities (e.g. infographics videos) related to the projects key findings.
Compensation:
$49.14 / hour plus 4% vacation pay (GRA Masters)
$58.46 / hours plus 4% vacation pay (GRA Doctoral)
