Our Civil Engineering teams support a diverse range of municipal transportation land development industrial and infrastructure projects across Ontario. Civil Conveyance projects include water transmission and distribution systems wastewater collection systems stormwater infrastructure trenchless rehabilitation and road reconstruction and resurfacing. The Site Services Land Development and Earthworks teams are involved in the planning and design of residential subdivisions mixed-use developments commercial and industrial facilities site servicing infrastructure grading stormwater management systems and earthworks projects.
As a Graduate Designer you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers gaining hands-on experience in planning engineering studies design development technical documentation and construction support. You will collaborate with municipalities planners clients and multidisciplinary project teams while developing practical technical and project delivery skills. From early feasibility and planning studies through approvals detailed design and construction you will contribute to projects that provide essential infrastructure and create lasting value for communities throughout the province.
You will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard design and drafting tools while developing your understanding of design processes project delivery and documentation best practices in a real-world consulting environment. Through mentorship collaboration and exposure to a variety of projects you will build your technical capability attention to detail and understanding of how quality documentation supports the delivery of effective engineering solutions.

This role can be based in any of our GTA offices (Toronto Mississauga Markham or Whitby) as well as Waterloo or Ottawa.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Data Collection and Analysis:Extract relevant data from information provided and input it into the design or design documents.
- Design and Conceptualization:Contribute to the development and implementation of proposed design solutions under the guidance of intermediate and senior team members.
- Design Documentation:Prepare detailed design drawings and construction documents in accordance with project requirements and established standards.
- Technical Communication and Coordination:Assist with preparing technical memoranda letters reports and meeting records and participate in client and project team progress meetings.
- Operational Compliance:Develop working knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
- Personal Capability Building:Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
What you will bring to the Team
Civil Engineering Technology Diploma Civil Engineering Technician Diploma Municipal Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent college program.
0-2 years of experience related to the role
OACETT membership/eligibility would be considered an asset.
G class drivers license.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and approach challenges with curiosity.

Experience with Bentley Products (Openroads) Autodesk Products (Civil 3D) Bluebeam and MS Office would be considered an asset.

Hourly Salary: Toronto Mississauga Markham or Whitby: $30.- Waterloo $28.50.- Ottawa$29.- Salary Range is based on the preferred work location. If the selected candidates location differs changes to the salary range may apply.
