Job Summary

The First Nation School Board (FNSB) was established in February 2022. Our main office is located in Whitehorse Yukon on the territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Taan Kwächän Council. FNSB serves and works in partnership withVuntut Gwitchin First Nation Liard First Nation Ross River Dena Council Champagne and Aishihik First Nation White River First Nation Taan Kwächän Council Kwanlin Dün First Nation Selkirk First Nation Carcross/Tagish First Nation and Kluane First Nationfor the schools and Learners on their territories.

For more information on the First Nation School Board please visit Governance Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support and coordination for the First Nation School Boards (FNSB) governance and senior leadership. Working under the Director of Policy and Communications the position supports the Community Committee Advisor and the broader leadership team with governance planning meeting coordination documentation records management communications and day-to-day administrative requirements. The role is responsible for ensuring Community Committees and FNSB leadership are well prepared and supported through timely meeting packages minutes correspondence logistics and follow-up. The Governance Administrator also contributes to the smooth operation of the FNSB office by providing general administrative support and serving as a backup first point of contact for staff and visitors. The position requires strong organization discretion attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across FNSB schools communities leadership and departments while ensuring governance practices reflect FNSB values and respect the histories cultures customs and priorities of local First Nations communities.
