Position Summary:
Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical or Structural co-op student in our Hydropower & Dams Group for a position starting in January 2027. Reporting to the Saskatchewan Hydropower & Dams Regional Manager you will support local and national projects working from our Saskatoon Office.

Responsibilities:
- Providing engineering support for Hydropower & Dams projects in pre-feasibility through to detailed engineering dam safety and operational support
- For geotechnical:
- Assist in developing and completing analyses (slope stability seepage) and quantity estimates
- Supporting various field assignments including geotechnical investigations data processing and report writing
- For structural:
- Assist in completing structural analysis and design calculations for concrete and structural steel
- Supporting the production of reports technical drawings and specifications
- Supporting senior staff in business development and marketing to existing and new Hatch clients in the hydropower sector preparation of expressions of interest and proposals
Education and Experience:
- Pursuing a degree in Geotechnical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Full Class 5 driver license

Compensation:
Range: $26.00 - $33.00
At Hatch we are committed to fair and equitable compensation accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.
Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills experience qualifications and addition to base pay our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives comprehensive benefits and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
