Description: ATCO Frontec is seeking aLabourerto support a short-term Facilities project in Taber AB. This role willassistwith a mechanical upgrade project at a seniors housing facility including boiler and water heater replacements and associated system upgrades.

This is a project-based role providing general site support to trades and helping ensure safe and efficient execution of project will be from late June to end of August.

Hourly rate: $22/hour

Where We Work and Live: ATCO Frontec provides preventative and corrective maintenance services for our customers throughout Alberta. Our maintenance teams are mobile and travel will be required in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with site preparation and general cleanup (housekeeping)
• Load unload and move materials construction debris piping and equipment
• Support tradespersons with project tasks (mechanical electrical carpentry etc.)
• Assist with installation-related work tied to boiler water heater and control system upgrades
• Operate basic tools and light equipment
• Complete general labour tasks such as painting touch-ups and incidental service work
• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations
• Assist with material transport and disposal including possible driving to facilities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of experience in general trades; experience in electrical construction or maintenance would be considered a strong asset.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test Fit-to-Work Test and Background Check
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Strong communication teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced project environment
