General Laborer

Safety-Kleen inBrampton ONis currently looking fora General Laborer / Operatorto join their safety-conscious team! The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with container turnaround/cleaning on site flagman for landfill dumps painting housekeeping and all other labor duties around the site.

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operates oil filter crusher machine;
• Prepares bulk wastes for shipment to other Safety-Kleen Clean Harbors and/or 3rd party locations;
• Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements;
• Operates a forklift when necessary responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating;
• Completes daily/weekly facility inspections as required;
• Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures;
• Ensures understands and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards;
• Inventory and ensure warehouse loading and unloading areas are cleaned and organized at all times.

• Previous warehouse experience is an asset;
• Hazardous materials work experience preferred;
• Forklift experience considered an asset;
• Valid G License required;
• Dependable and detail-oriented;
• Strong Customer service skills required;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis;
• Willing to train the right candidate.
