Position Purpose
The Gender Equity Administrative Assistant position assists the Territorial Gender Equity Advocate in implementing approved recommendations arising from the Gender Equity Task Force Report. Support will include writing (including policy revision) communication data collection and assessment preparing presentations and other administrative tasks.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate Gender Equity Working Group operations by scheduling meetings preparing agendas issuing reminders and documenting and distributing meeting minutes.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Gender Equity Advocate including calendar management travel coordination and day-to-day operational assistance.
- Collect analyze and report on data and stakeholder feedback to support evidence-based Gender Equity initiatives and inform strategic decision-making.
- Research review and develop policies presentations and curriculum materials that advance Gender Equity objectives and organizational learning.
- Create and deliver engaging communications content including articles social media posts and other promotional materials aligned with the communications strategy.
- Manage and maintain the Gender Equity web presence by ensuring content is current accessible and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Lead social media engagement activities by publishing timely updates and increasing awareness of Gender Equity programs and initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration between the Gender Equity Advocate Working Group members and internal departments to advance projects and achieve shared goals.
- Support project planning coordination and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of Gender Equity initiatives.
- Assist in the planning development and execution of creative productions events and awareness campaigns that promote Gender Equity outcomes.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Administration Communications Social Sciences or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in office administration executive support secretarial or related administrative roles.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook Calendar and Excel with strong keyboarding and document management skills.
- Apply exceptional organizational planning and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple projects deadlines and competing demands.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and a commitment to process excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising initiative sound judgment and accountability.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of tact diplomacy professionalism and discretion.
- Communicate effectively through strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a commitment to equity inclusion and social justice with knowledge of or experience in gender equity initiatives considered a strong asset while supporting and upholding the Mission and values of The Salvation Army.
The compensation indicated for this position is based on a 40-hour work week. As this is a part-time position compensation will be prorated based on the scheduled hours worked.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $44262.40 to $55328.00 with a maximum of $66393.60.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
