We are looking for a committed and highly qualified Gastroenterologist to become a vital member of our progressive healthcare this essential capacity the selected individual will focus on the diagnosis management and treatment of a broad array of conditions related to the digestive tract. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with diverse medical teams to design and execute holistic treatment strategies thereby elevating the standard of care provided throughout our facility.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive patient assessments encompassing detailed medical history analysis and physical examinations to pinpoint gastrointestinal concerns.
- Accurately perform and interpret specialized diagnostic procedures including endoscopies colonoscopies and other requisite tests.
- Formulate and execute personalized treatment protocols for a variety of ailments from inflammatory bowel diseases to functional digestive disorders.
- Partner with surgeons oncologists and other medical experts to synchronize complex care plans for patients with multifaceted health requirements.
- Ensure the maintenance of precise and current patient documentation in strict adherence to healthcare regulations and institutional policies.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding digestive wellness preventative health strategies and necessary lifestyle adjustments.
- Keep abreast of emerging medical research updated clinical guidelines and technological innovations in the field of gastroenterology to continuously improve practice standards.
Requirements
- Possession of a Medical Degree (MD or DO) along with a current license to practice medicine within the relevant jurisdiction.
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program followed by a specialized fellowship in Gastroenterology.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience gained in either a hospital or private practice environment.
- Board certification in Gastroenterology or eligibility to obtain such certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting endoscopic procedures and interpreting diagnostic imaging results.
- Strong clinical acumen effective problem-solving skills and a dedicated focus on patient-centered care.
- Superior communication abilities capable of clearly articulating complex medical information to both patients and colleagues.
- Proven capacity to function effectively as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Must hold all necessary credentials and licenses required to practice medicine specifically within the province of Manitoba.
