Full-Time Tactical Security Guard Educational Facility

As a Tactical Security Guard physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift patrolling a post-secondary institution located at M5B 1Y2 (Downtown Toronto).

• Hourly wage of $21.71

• Full-Time Opportunity: 12 hour continental rotation schedule Sunday-Saturday: 8AM-8PM & 8PM-8AM (Cont. Rotation including 2 week days & 2 weeks nights)

• Patrol criticalareas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Proactively patrol the University campus situated in the downtown core.
• Respond to and document security occurrences violations hazards suspicious activities maintenance-related problems and other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in on-scene emergency response.
• Interpret and enforce the Criminal Code of Canada Trespass to Property Act of Ontario and University regulations.
• Work with the community on safety planning and community engagement initiatives.
• Patrol in uniform by foot bike or vehicle.
• Work with and interact positively in a dynamic team atmosphere based on the principles of Community Policing.
• Liaise and build relationships with the community and stakeholders to help foster community engagement.

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Ontario security guard license
• Ability to stand and walk throughoutshift
• Must have WSIB approved Standard First Aid and CPR level C certification
• Minimum 1 year previous tactical experience
• Be a self-starter with strong initiative
• Be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks & responsibilities.
