Royal Drug Martis looking for a part-time Front Store Clerk/Delivery Driverto join our team in Melville :Provide warm friendly customer service by greeting all customers and handling inquiries courteouslyOperate the cash register stock shelves tidy aisles and support various front-store tasksEnsure store cleanliness and organization including performing light janitorial duties and maintaining displaysFollow store policies on security shoplifting and lottery ticket handlingMonitor cash levels anticipate change needs and request pickups when necessaryDevelop strong product knowledge stay informed about new items and maintain awareness of store layoutMerchandise products effectively using shelf labels rotation and facing techniquesManage allocated sections and notify buyers of out-of-stock itemsAssist in inventory maintenance and support reordering processesSupport seasonal displays and promotional setupsHandle difficult customer situations with tact and escalate complaints as neededReport customer feedback and concerns to the store managerRemain productive between customer interactionsComplete miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Front Store Manager or Store Operator/Pharmacy ManagerDelivery Driver Duties:Perform pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies throughout Melville Neudorf and directly to the Front Store Manager or Store Operator/Pharmacy the safety and security of all cargoPerform daily vehicle inspectionsFuels and cleans the company van regularlyUpdates and utilizes the vehicle maintenance log binderCompletes delivery documentation and ensures delivery slips are signed and any vehicle issues or service needs to the Front Store Manager or Store Operator/Pharmacy and mail all outgoing mail dailyMaintains delivery vehicle including cleanliness fuel oil tires and general upkeepOrganizes and distributes merchandiseMaintains accurate recordsCarries out additional duties assigned by the Front Store Manager or Store Operator/Pharmacy :Accurate cash handling and strong customer service skillsAbility to stand for extended periods and multitask in a fast-paced environmentClear courteous communication and strong product knowledgeExperience in merchandising retail or cashiering is an assetMature cooperative attitude with a professional appearance including proper grooming and a name tagCandidates must possess a valid and permanent provincial drivers licence with a safe driving record for the past 3 yearsDrivers abstract (dated within 30 days) requiredMaintain the safety and integrity of the company and dependable with a high level of professionalismStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignmentsStrong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team membersAbility to follow procedures and guidelines accuratelyAbility to lift and maneuver large packagesCriminal Record Check requiredSchedule:24 to 30 hours per week (Part-time)The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 typical shifts are on Tuesdays Thursdays and weekends. Candidates must be flexible and available to work both opening and closing 8-hour shifts for a minimum of three days per week.
