First Cook

As a First Cook in a private school cafeteria reporting to the Executive Chef you will be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of meals including but not limited to food service & food safety.

Your work will include:

• Always maintaining a clean kitchen and food storage areas.
• Preparing high-quality nutritious meals (breakfast lunch) according to the client scheduling and within the menu plan and budget guidelines.
• Being flexible and responding to client needs and food preferences as necessary.
• Adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Safe Food Handling/Health Unit regulations.
• Adhering to all relevant Dexterra and Campus policies and procedures.
• Managing inventory.

Qualifications :

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Willingness to learn
• Catering experience
• Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a Cook position
• Level 1 Food Safe Certificates
• Class 5 Driver License
