Fire Alarm Technician

Chandler Alarm and Communications is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician who is responsible for installation projects inspections maintenance and troubleshooting of fire alarms systems.

• Preparation assembly programming set-up and verification of new fire alarm systems
• Inspection service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems
• Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524 S536 and S537
• CFAA certified would be an asset but not necessary
• Capable of preparing thorough reports and inspection documentation
• Experience in programming fire panels.
• Knowledge of various fire systems;
• Use of specialized test tools.
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts in attics and crawl spaces as well as to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driver abstract.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with Special Hazards Suppression System would be an asset.
  

• Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Alarm installations;
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is considered an asset
• Relevant industry experience is considered an asset
• Ability to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends holidays and emergency situations
• Working at heights and with ladders
• Ability to travel to other areas of the region when required (not frequent)
• Satisfactory Criminal Background check
• Must have a clean criminal record and a valid Drivers license.
