Where Youll Come in:

The Financial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting our financial operations and day-to-day accounting processes. This position is responsible for performing core accounting tasks managing accounts payable and receivable supporting reconciliations and assisting with month-end close activities. Reporting to the Finance Manager youll work collaboratively with our Finance team and cross-functional partners to maintain accurate financial records and ensure smooth operational efficiency.

How Youll Make An Impact:

• Perform daily accounting tasks including accounts payable/receivable general ledger entries and bank reconciliations
• Process vendor invoices matching them to purchase orders and coding expenses to appropriate accounts
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable balances apply cash receipts and send customer statements
• Assist with month-end close activities reconciliations and year-end audit preparation
• Manage customer credit applications and monitor key partner credit
• Support banking and payment processes including payment template setup
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and investigations as needed to help the team identify trends resolve discrepancies and strengthen processes
• Gain exposure to increasingly analytical and strategic accounting projects over time positioning you to grow into more complex financial reporting and analysis responsibilities as you develop your skills and CPA designation

• You have a recent Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and financial statement basics
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Planning to pursue your CPA designation (enrollment timeline flexible)
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems (a plus)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a genuine interest in learning and growing
• You bring enthusiasm curiosity and a willingness to ask questions and develop your craft

Compensation:

The hiring range for this role is $55000$60000 CAD annually with final compensation thoughtfully aligned to your qualifications background and the value you bring. At Open Farm we know great people dont always fit a mold so role scope and compensation may evolve to reflect your unique strengths. This position may also include additional rewards such as performance-based bonuses and other incentives.

Hybrid Work

At Open Farm we believe in the power of collaboration meaningful connections and enjoying our work togetherfurry friends included! Thats why weve adopted a structured hybrid approach that allows you the benefit of a reduced commute while still building strong workplace relationships. Currently all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor addition to this each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team. During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.
