Finance Co-op Student

As our next Finance Co-op Student youll be at the forefront of supporting key financial operations including financial analysis reporting budgeting and costing activities. Working closely with experienced finance professionals you will gain hands-on experience while contributing to projects that help drive informed business decisions and operational success. What Youll Be Doing:

• Assist in financial data entry recording transactions and maintaining financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets.

• Support the preparation of financial reports statements and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform financial analysis including variance analysis trend analysis and ratio analysis to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Help with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data updating models and preparing reports for budget meetings.

• Assist in preparing maintaining validating and updating standard costing information including supporting the annual standard cost roll and periodic cost updates.

• Support inventory-related activities including physical inventory counts reconciliations and analysis of inventory or costing variances.

• Support the finance team with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and insights.

• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information adhering to company policies procedures and compliance standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the finance team.

What Were Looking For:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/ diploma in Accounting Finance Mathematics Computer Science or a related field.

• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles; interest in cost accounting and manufacturing finance is an asset.

• Strong analytical numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy and comfortable to handle large sets of numerical data.

• Good Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets formulas and data analysis.

• Good knowledge on PowerBI is a plus.

• Quick learner who is self-motivated organized and willing to take initiative.

• Independent thinker interested in taking initiative; self-started and self-motivated.

• Ability to interact effectively with management plant personnel auditors and various finance personnel at other divisions
