OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resource the File Clerk isresponsible for the update maintenance retrieval and archiving of allorganization files both electronically and hard copy file. The File Clerk willprovide reception coverage for breaks and lunches as needed.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

Organize both paper and electronic documents.

Maintain filing system to ensure efficient documentstorage.

Scan and upload documents into electronic storagesystem.

Accurately label files.

Ensure files are complete accurate and properlycategorized.

Assists in maintaining file tracking system.

Monitor file log out tracking sheet.

Respond to request for files in a timely manner.

Prepare inactive files for archive.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Perform related clerical duties such as answeringphones word processing faxing and photocopying.

Provides reception coverage when needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 years work experience in an office environment.
  • Organized and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Outlook Word and Excel is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of the Child and Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation an asset but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and/or understanding of Indigenous perspectives First Nations culture and traditional philosophies.
  • Must have a clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector check and Child & Adult Registry check.
  • Must be able to bend kneel and lift up to 20lbs.
