Job Summary

TheĀ Field Coordinator (Regenerative Agriculture) isĀ anĀ organized and motivated individual who bringsĀ their knowledge of farm operations agronomy and soil healthĀ into the frame of regenerative agriculture production systems.Ā Ā 

They willĀ supportĀ projects from conception to execution collaborating with farmers MRV partners andĀ field specialistsĀ toĀ support farmersĀ implementingĀ regenerative agricultureĀ practicesĀ with measured outcomes on GHG emissions soil and other environmental metrics. This role will also developĀ comprehensive project plans manageĀ timelines and budgets andĀ report progressĀ and outcomesĀ according to project deadlines. They willĀ facilitateĀ training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders about regenerative practices fostering a culture of sustainability within the agricultural community. They will also build uponĀ and/or developĀ newĀ effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and organizations.Ā This role will support both Canadian (SK) and US (IN and IA) based projects splitting their timeĀ roughly 60/40Ā between the two regions.Ā 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • ProjectĀ Coordination andĀ ManagementĀ 
    • Coordinate field activities withĀ local field teams MRV partners and other project stakeholdersĀ ensuring milestones are met and resources areĀ allocatedĀ efficiently
    • Support the develop and implement annual project plans timelines educationalĀ materialsĀ and track budgets
    • Collaborate with farmers agricultural organizations community groups and government agencies to promote regenerative practices
    • Organize workshops training sessions and outreach events to educate stakeholders on regenerative agricultureĀ 
  • Monitoring and EvaluationĀ Ā 
    • Coordinate the collection and analysis of project data to assess progressĀ andĀ develop reports for a variety of audiencesĀ Ā 
    • ReviewĀ and analyze results provide feedback to field teams and MRV partners and conduct quality assuranceĀ Ā 
    • StayĀ informedĀ about government frameworks (e.g. 45Z) and industry standards (e.g. SBTi) and offer insights on how projects align with these requirements.Ā 
  • KnowledgeĀ Creation & DisseminationĀ Ā 
    • CoordinateĀ theĀ design and implementation of demonstration plots measure outcomes andĀ create farmer facing reports based on resultsĀ Ā 
    • Actively contribute to theĀ definition of regenerative agriculture KPIs by stayingĀ up to date on GHG soil water and nature metrics and methods for evaluating project impactĀ 

Qualifications :

  • Must have 3Ā to 5Ā years of previous workĀ experience ofĀ which atĀ leastĀ 3Ā years inĀ theĀ project managementĀ or agronomyĀ spaceĀ with focus onĀ agriculture productions systems and/or nature-based solutions.
  • Extensive experience in North AmericanĀ agriculture communities.
  • Experience in Agri - commodity supply chains and inĀ regenerative agriculture orĀ carbonĀ insettingĀ projects.
  • In-depth knowledge ofĀ agronomyĀ soil scienceĀ and/or farm economicsĀ Ā 
  • Knowledge ofĀ 45Z SBTiĀ SAI Platform RTPĀ andĀ US/CanadianĀ conservation programsĀ Ā Ā 
  • Knowledge of GHGĀ footprintsĀ calculation is a plus.Ā 
  • Strong analytical skills to understand useĀ and/orĀ assess quality of data related to project outcomes for GHGĀ emissions carbonĀ reductionsĀ and removals.
  • ExperienceĀ working withĀ multiple stakeholdersĀ on project operation topics.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Proactive charismatic individual with the vision and ability to influence various project stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and is a team player.Ā 
  • Self-starter and problem solver with strong organization synthesis and prioritization skills.Ā 
  • Good analytical skills at ease working with large data sets in Microsoft Excel.
