• Collaborate with the Facilities Engineering team to drive innovative design and construction solutions for infrastructure projects that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Lead project oversight by tracking cost schedule scope and quality metrics ensuring every initiative stays on target and delivers value.
• Conduct on-site inspections to validate construction progress update facility documentation and ensure contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support daily operations through targeted engineering analyses that solve real-time challenges and optimize facility performance.
• Champion long-term planning by initiating and contributing to strategic engineering studies that shape our evolving 5-year capital investment roadmap.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program (any discipline) at a recognized institution.
• 02 years of relevant experience ideally in a facilities infrastructure or construction-related environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Outlook and Excel with a knack for organizing data and communications.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Bluebeam or other drawing design and markup tools is a strong asset.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to convey technical information clearly and professionally.
• A quick learner and effective problem solver with a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach to challenges.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Canadian Government Security clearance and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time in-office presence.
