Our Arrow Project Services team is looking for experienced Excavator Operators for various projects around BC with our division based in Kamloops BC.
Under the direction of the Civil Construction Supervisor theExcavatorOperatorwill performheavycivilworks such as mass excavationssewerand water installationretainingwall excavation and back fill. The Operator will work in tight work areas and in close proximityofother workers underground utilities overhead power lines and the general public.
Responsibilities
Operate excavatorsvarying from20T to 40Tsizes
Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions
Perform road work excavation work lifting work and have knowledge of rigging
Respond to signals and directions by the staff and work in coordination with them
Workingwith both buckets and excavation attachments
Work in adherence to all safe work practices procedures as well as all regulatory requirements
Perform daily equipment maintenance and requesting required services
Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
You Possess
Experience working in heavy civil construction
Minimum 5 years of excavator experience includingmass excavationsewerand water installationretainingwallexcavationand backfill
Knowledge ofquick changeattachments working with both buckets and excavation attachments
Mechanical inclination of equipment maintenance (mechanic welder machinist) is an asset but not
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow rain sub-freezingtemps heat wind)
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Good physical condition(Able to carry at least 50lbs)
Reliable transportation to and from facility locations
Strong safety mindset
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
