What are we looking for

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Co-op will be a member of the Welland Team and working closely to support our North America EHS department. This includes performing a variety of assignments to support the optimization of our EHS program data management and EHS continuous improvement.

Co-op Term Duration: September2026 - December 2026

Essential Responsibilities

  • Performing EHS site inspections and audits.
  • Assist with EHS data collection.
  • Working with cross functional departments to resolve EHS concerns.
  • Working on EHS continuous improvement projects.
  • Working with both Welland and Waukesha sites to combine policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS files records and documentations.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of EHS files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of EHS files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the EHS department.

Qualifications

  • In process of completing a program in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001 would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing setting would be considered an asset.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
