Job Summary
The Glace Bay General Hospital is seeking emergency physicians. Glace Bay Hospital (GBH) is an acute care facility that serves Glace Bay and surrounding areas. It is one of the community hospitals that operate as part of a four-hospital complex that includes New Waterford Consolidated Northside General and the Cape Breton Regional hospitals.
Responsibilities
- provide call coverage
- consult and refer to other medical practitioners
- act as a patient advocate
- prescribe and administer medications treatments inoculations and vaccinations
Expected Hours
- physicians choice: part-time full-time locum

Qualifications :
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physician must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- all applicants must have a current PALS Certification
- all applicants must have a current ATLS Certification
- all applicants must have a current ACLS Certification
