Emergency Medicine Truro

Responsibilities

• duties include full scope of practice as an emergency physician providing care to patients within the northern zone
• the physician will be responsible to the zone department head for emergency medicine for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority

Expected Hours

• full-time
• part-time
• locum
• shift lengths vary from 6-12 hours

Qualifications :

•  all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
•  all family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
•  all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
•  membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
• ATLS ACLS PALS and advanced Airway training are required.
