Electrician

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant legislation policies and procedures
• Review electrical and instrumentation engineering and construction work packages.
• Review and execute scope based on Field Instruction Work Packages
• Understand and execute work under LOTO requirements
• Install industrial cable tray and power cables
• Install process pipe heat tracing SR or MI
• Support the install of instrumentation
• Install MCC Wrappers
• Management of material for required scope
• Communicate and work in a team environment
• Ability to work with Field Engineering and Quality Control to efficiently resolve hurdles
• Provide knowledge and advice on electrical and/or instrument equipment and systems.
• Provide direction in establishing the electrical and instrumentation requirements and specifications for existing and new facilities.
• Provide support in commissioning and start-up activities as required for the electrical and/or instrumentation equipment and systems in the field.
• Provide ongoing support to operations.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications :

• Apprentice up to and including Journeyperson Red Seal level
• Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in electrical and/or instrumentation equipment and systems
• Knowledge and experience with Heat Trace systems
• Experience in an industrial setting required
• Knowledge and experience with industrial construction an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of a project organization

Required Tickets:

• Aerial Work Platform (AWP) and Fall Protection Certification

As part of the recruitment process successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks is required which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check Drug & Alcohol test Reference checks as well as submittal of Provincial Drivers addition standard HSE certifications may be required including WHMIS First Aid etc.
