Job Summary
Clean Harbors/Safety-Kleen in Oshawa ON is seeking a Utility Representative (DZ Driver)to join our safety conscious team! The Utility Representatives are individuals who drive our box and vacuum trucks on open routes in Ontario. At times the driver may also be required to travel to various locations Canada wide. The Rep will fill in vacancies for coverage for open routes to ensure our customers receive continued high-quality service.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a DZ-licensed vehicle to deliver and pick up hazardous and non-hazardous materials (including used oil anti-freeze and related products etc.)
- Service parts washer equipment by removing spent cleaning solutions and replacing with fresh cleaning fluids to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Provide route coverage across the district for vacations absences and open routes ensuring uninterrupted service to customers.
- Load unload handle and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all required shipping transportation and waste documentation while maintaining compliance with TDGA Ontario Regulation 347 and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Manage daily service routes efficiently ensuring on-time customer service and adherence to scheduled delivery and collection commitments.
- Transport waste materials from customer locations to company processing facilities branches and approved disposal sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicles in a safe clean and roadworthy condition.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service effective communication and prompt issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities to promote and expand customer use of parts washing waste management and environmental service solutions.
- Support sales growth by recognizing upselling and cross-selling opportunities and communicating customer needs to the sales team.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety by following company procedures environmental standards and best practices when handling hazardous materials.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company in a professional manner at all customer locations.
- Collaborate with operations dispatch and branch personnel to ensure efficient route execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Valid DZ drivers license with 1-2 years of operating highly preferred.
Manual transmission experience is highly preferred.
Clean driving record.
Strong customer service with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.
Knowledge of environmental services hazardous waste management or related industries is highly preferred asset.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding role.

- Reliable personal vehicle to commute to your home facility.
- Comfortable travelling (Ontario-wide and out of province when needed).
