Dispatcher

Caron is currently recruiting for a Dispatcher at our Sherwood Park Terminal. The Dispatcher reports directly to the Terminal Manager and is responsible for dispatching drivers and equipment in an efficient and economical manner while meeting customer needs through superior customer service. This position works 10 hours a day Monday through Friday.

Our ideal candidate:

• Polite and professional attitude
• Analytical with an investigative mind
• High regard for safety
• Able to be on call weekly with a premium paid (sharing on-call responsibilities with terminal support)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• 2 years of directly related experience in bulk commodities transportation
• High School/GED
• Experience working with EDI software on a regular basis is an asset

Job duties:

• Dispatch drivers and equipment to meet customer needs
• Single point of contact for for EDI
• Follow and understand Federal Hours of Service
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers
• Enter reporting details in Samsara AXON or Stellar
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards
• Participate in safety related compliance regulatory programs and education
• Perform all other duties as assigned
