Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.
In addition we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance an essential part of intermodal shipping.
We take containers in and out of warehouses rail terminals ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process. Drayage is part of a larger logistics process.

Job Responsibilities:

Thedispatcher will be responsible for effectively managing all aspects of dispatching. Working closely with our Operations team you will ensure freight is delivered efficently for our valued clients.

What You Bring

• Minimum 2 years experience trucking dispatchexperience is required
• Experience with TMW is required
• Experience and knowledge of Canada shipping regulations and practices.
• Capable of answeringsupplier distribution emails customer emails.
• This position requires an individual who is adaptable; self-motivated results driven and a team player.
• Successful with building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• An expert at multi-tasking and effectively managing changing priorities.
• Proactive able to identify early on any potential issues and to implement solutions.
