Dispatcher

The Dispatcher role is a fast-paced demanding position focused on planning and coordinating the pickups and deliveries for our Nanaimo service area including surrounding rural routes. Were looking to onboard a dedicated professional to join our team and help us meet or exceed our customers expectations.

As a Dispatcher youll be the nerve center of our operations ensuring smooth and efficient daily flow. Your key duties will include:

• Scheduling to execute all of the terminals pickups and deliveries  

• Verify equipment and driver availability including start times.  

• Dealing with customers drivers central dispatch Terminal Manager etc.  

• Dock work

• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have the skills and knowledge to hit the ground running in a dynamic environment.

• A thorough working knowledge of the Nanaimo Area

• Good communication and interpersonal skills  

• Knowledge of equipment  

• Organized with good time management skills  

• Aptitude for math 

• Ability to perform under pressure
