Job Summary

Part-Time Direct Support Professional/ Night Sleep

Hourly rate: DSP $25.05/Night sleep $19.72

Closing date: Aug.19th 2026

Approximate Start date: ASAP

Schedule will be provided; 2 weeks notice of a 4-week schedule. 2-week schedule will change month to month. (combination of days evenings weekends and NIGHT Sleep)

Hours per week will range from 16 to 34.

Full G license and personal automobile insurance required.

Direct Support Professional(DSP)employeeswork with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully Support Professionals recognizepeoples rights to direct their life understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs andtheysupport people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

Skills Required:

  • SSW Recreational therapist DSW or CYW Diploma
  • experience with Behaviour support plans. (BSP)
  • Current/Valid G license and able to drive.
  • Candidates will be working across multiple sites all over the Greater Sudbury Area
  • Computer Skills: Windows Word Excel Email etc.
  • Must build rapport and have a professional working relationship with the police fire support EMS and hospitals.
  • Full G License required

Experience Required:

  • High behaviour supports
  • Candidates are expected to maintain professionalism
  • Supports to people who have a dual diagnosis
  • Supports to people who experience Autism

Ability Required:

  • Current Safe Management
  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • Able to lift 35 lbs
  • Able to perform restraints
  • Able to perform CPR
  • Able to perform restraints
  • Able to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment

      The successful candidate will be selected based on Article 12.03 of the UFCW Sudbury Bargaining Unit Collective Agreement.
