Digital Architect

(Remote Contract)

We are hiring multiple Digital Architects to support large-scale digital transformation and service modernization initiatives for a provincial government body.

The successful candidate will work within cross-functional agile teams to design deliver and modernize citizen-centric digital services while aligning with enterprise architecture standards and cloud-first strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead solution architecture and digital service design initiatives

Must have public sector experience in Canada/USA

Support agile product delivery sprint planning and technical implementation

Design scalable secure and modern digital solutions

Guide integration strategies APIs and system modernization efforts

Collaborate with product owners developers UX teams and stakeholders

Review code mentor teams and contribute to technical best practices

Support DevSecOps CI/CD and cloud-native delivery approaches

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

5 years leading software architecture and digital solution delivery

Experience working with agile cross-functional product teams

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience defining and presenting solution architecture designs

Preferred Skills

API design and RESTful services

CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Cloud platforms containers and infrastructure-as-code

Legacy modernization and digital transformation projects

Relational and non-relational databases

Public sector digital service experience

Secure development and DevSecOps practices

Work Arrangement

Remote within Canada

Occasional onsite meetings in Alberta may be required

Candidates must provide their own equipment

Security clearance/background check may be required

Additional Information

Initial 12-month contract with possible extension
