Weareresults-driven and committed to excellence through professionalism compassioncollaborationand we do:Werepassionate about helping animals live safehealthy and loved lives and about helping their humans only animal welfare organization in B.C. that has the authority to enforce laws relating to animal of North Americasmost progressive animal welfare organizations with evidence-based standards of role ofAssistant Development (Philanthropy)As part of theCommunity Giving Team led bytheManagerCommunity Giving & Engagementyoullprovide administrative support to the Philanthropy forsupporting the Philanthropy team consisting of the Community Giving and Major Giving Teams:Provide administrative support for the Community Giving and Major Giving TeamsMaintainaccuratedata in Raisers Edge andexportas needed toproduce donor lists and reports tomonitorrevenue targets and other collaboratively with the Major Giving and Community Giving TeamsSupport with any identified pre or post-event administrative support as needed for Signature Events (Offleashed Vancouver/Victoria & Fur Ball (Kelowna and Kamloops)Support the Community Giving and Major Giving Teams in achieving the BC SPCAs strategic goalsWhile every day is different a day in this role might include:Collaborate with a Community Animal Centre on the creation of posters invitations or other design requests for Community Giving events using Adobe Creative Suite and with a Community Animal Centre Manager and Generosity Services to process a large edit a stewardship report for the Major Giving team trackteam expenses and up a Centres ticket page utilizing the online ticket platformConductprospect research toidentifypotential new partners donors and granting organizations in support of annual funding priorities and special the Senior Officer Community Giving with Community Animal Centre budget processFilter criteria for Centre donation lists and disseminate them to Community Animal Centre gaming reports and track these gaming type ofpersonare youMotivatedand innovativeproblem-solverDetail-orientedEmpatheticandrelation-centric (withdonors colleaguesand animals)Adaptable solution-oriented and open to changePhilosophical harmony with the mission vision and guiding principles of the BC skills have you developedPost-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the fundraising experience customer/donor service in graphic design and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with learning new software and programs with a CRM ideally Raisers Edge would be considered an organizational and problem-solving written oral and persuasive communication skills including an ability to relate respectfully to a diverse ability to succeed with minimum supervision in an environment involving multiple priorities/ to work some weekends and evenings as commitment to continuing professional growth and knowledge of the concepts of equity diversity inclusion and harmony with the mission vision values and strategic direction of the BC weeks vacationplustwelvesick Engagement & Advancement unitoperateson a hybrid work model and offers opportunities for a modified work extended healthbenefitson the 1stof the 4thmonth of -placeculture of collaborationinnovation and yes there are dogs in the officeevery single day (and sometimesotheranimals too!How to applyIf you are interested in joining our team and are legally entitled to work in Canada we would like to hear from you.
