This is how You Make a Difference
As a Design Lead Passenger Information Systems you will:
- Develop and coordinate engineering designs for Passenger Information Systems and integrated transit communication systems.
- Produce and review system layouts CAD/BIM models drawings and technical documentation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with Project Managers Product Management Manufacturing Installation and Commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate CAD/BIM design resources and provide technical guidance throughout the design process.
- Support installation testing commissioning and system handover activities.
- Analyse and resolve technical issues while identifying practical engineering solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with customer specifications engineering standards and project requirements.
- Manage multiple design deliverables project priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards design processes and documentation.

What you Bring to the Table
Essential
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Electronic Engineering Systems Engineering Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
- 8 years of progressive experience designing implementing testing and commissioning Passenger Information Systems (PIS) transit communications or similar integrated systems.
- Experience coordinating engineering design activities for rail transit or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Public Address (PA) Passenger Information Displays (PID) telephony and integrated communication systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD Revit and BIM design workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a collaborative project environment.
- Experience with PA acoustic modelling and system design.
- Knowledge of CCTV fire alarm passenger counting or other intelligent transportation systems.
- Experience supporting installation testing and commissioning activities.
- Familiarity with Canadian transit or railway standards.
- Professional Engineer (.) designation or eligibility is considered an asset.
