Job Description Summary
The Demand Planner is to ensure our companys operations are timely efficient and cost-effective. S/he will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand analyzing inventory flow and developing forecast models.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns utilizing inputs including: sales forecast historical demand and new product introductions
Develop and maintain monthly operational forecast down to SKU level at multiple locations using the SAP-APO Demand Module
Review weekly forecast consumption to identify outliers communicate action plans and revise future forecasts in conjunction with Product Divisions Sales and Marketing teams
Manage daily stock transfer related activities including purchase orders and lead-time inquiries as well as subsequent maintenance from entry to completion
Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts budgets and business strategies
Execute documented process flows rules and standards relevant to Inventory Management & Demand Planning
Assist in developing reports that ensure quality and effectiveness of data in SAP-APO and allows appropriate and timely KPIs
Determine shortcomings in current processes or gaps in workflow
Utilize Continuous Improvement methodology to recommend and build improved tools or processes
Support implementation of ERP and other new relevant software
Education:
Bachelors degree in business supply chain or other relevant fields
A minimum of 3 years experience in a demand planning/forecasting or other supply chain functions
Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
Strong analytical mathematical and statistical knowledge
Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain cross functional relationships
Ability to handle multiple projects
Experience with SAP and AS400
Six Sigma/LEAN knowledge
APICS-CPIM certification an asset
Knowledge of Database Applications (Access or Business Objects)
The targeted hiring range for this position is $76k-$81k. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as the candidates experience qualifications skills geographic location and knowledge relevant to the role.
The anticipated salary range for this position:
$71000.00 - $106600.00 Annual
