Reporting to the Head Chef the Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of meals snacks supplies and otheritemsbetweentheKids&CompanycentralkitchenandourOttawachildcarecentres.TheDriverplaysanimportantroleinensuringalldeliveriesarecompletedefficientlywhilemaintainingfoodsafetystandardsandprovidingexcellentservicetoourcentres.

• Safely deliver meals snacks and kitchen supplies to Kids & Companychildcarecentres throughout Ottawa.
• Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure all deliveries arrive on time.
• Load unload and transport food containers and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all food is transported according to food safety and temperature control requirements.
• Verify delivery contents and maintain accurate delivery records as required.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and centre teams regarding deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
• Comply with all company policies Ministry regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Assist with the transportation of supplies equipment and materials between centres as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid G Class Drivers License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience preferred.
• Experience delivering food supplies or commercial goods is considered an asset.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Ottawa roads and surrounding areas.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Ability to frequently lift carry push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable punctual and dependable.
• Successful candidates must provide two pieces of valid government-issued identification and be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
