Job Description

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Carrier isseekinga highly skilled Project Manager to oversee our scope of work in data center construction projects. This roleis responsible forthe startup commissioning andfield modificationsof Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers. The Project Manager will work closely withinternal and external teams including engineeringfactoryoperationsfield servicecommissioning authorities general contractors and subcontractors.

The primary job sitesare located inthe Alberta Canada providence . Please note that extensive travel for onsite construction project management outside this geography may berequired.

This is a Fixed Term position that is 18-24 Months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Execution & Management

• Lead startup commissioning andfield modificationprocesses for Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers in newly constructed data centers.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
• Track and review key performance indicators (KPIs) tomonitorproject success.
• Conduct progress meetings with stakeholders addressing design material delivery and labor schedules.
• Ensure all projects meet or exceed booked profit margin goals.
• Work with project coordination to order and track all chiller parts needed for warranty execution.

Stakeholder & Customer Coordination

• Collaborate with sales prime contractors and end-users to fulfill project scope and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary liaisonrepresentingCarrier between the customer commissioning authority general contractor and subcontractors ensuring smooth communication and project progression.
• Provide professionaltimelyresolutionfor customer concerns ensuring satisfaction with all aspects of project execution.
• Technical Expertise & Compliance
• Interpret and apply mechanical electrical and architectural drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Ensure adherence to industry codes standards and project specifications.
• Apply working knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS) integration to ensure proper controls functionality.
• Manage the change order process preventing scope creep andmaintainingproject integrity.

Financial & Operational Oversight

• Accurately forecast monthly revenue by estimating project completion costs.
• Manage project documentation including warranty processing and factory-generated service information in collaboration with our Service Engineering team.
• Maintain rigorous job safety standards across all projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of experience in project management coordinating project schedules deliverables and activities involving multiple stakeholders contractors vendors and/or customers; OR 4 years of experience supporting mechanical electrical controls commissioning construction or field service projects.
• 2yearsreading and interpreting blueprints and technical mechanical systems documents.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time within the USA as required by business needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering; or aMastersdegree/MBA.
• Data center industry experience with water- or air-cooled chillers.
• Commercial HVACexpertise including centrifugal chillers Cooling Distribution Unitsystems and airside equipment.
• Projection Management Professionalcertification.
• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Designcertification or experience with Building Automation Systems
• Strong ability to multi-task prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong ability to build rapport and trust with customers through active listening and effective solutions.

Pay Range

The expected base salary range for this role is between $110500.00 CAD - $160500.00 CAD annually. The rate of pay may be impacted by factors such as the applicants geographic location market data/range skills prior relevant experience job-related knowledge specific degrees and certifications and/or other relevant considerations. This compensation includes components such as base salary vacation pay public holiday pay potential estimated overtime pay and paid statutory leaves of absence. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care vision dental disability as well as possible retirement contributions. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the province in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

This rolemayalso provide the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation in the form of annual bonus sales bonus sales commission or local incentive. If the role provides for an opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation it will be based on measurable performance factors which may includecompany performance individual performance or other key performance indicators.
