Job Title: Data Product Analyst Location: Remote within Canada (Must be available for occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton Alberta)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Data Product Analyst to support the Government of Alberta s DRAS modernization this role you will work with large datasets and build reliable data solutions that help improve environmental and regulatory processes.
You will design and maintain data pipelines integrate data from different systems and create analytics-ready datasets using Microsoft Azure tools. The role requires strong skills in data engineering SQL Python and cloud-based data platforms.
This is a remote role within Canada with occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure tools
Work with SQL Python Azure Databricks Data Factory and Synapse
Integrate data from multiple systems and APIs
Develop data models and reporting datasets
Ensure data quality security and governance standards
Support analytics and AI-driven initiatives
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and integrations
Required Skills
Experience with Microsoft Azure data services
Strong SQL and Python skills
Experience with Azure Data Factory Databricks and Synapse
Knowledge of data integration ETL pipelines and data modeling
Understanding of data governance and security practices
Experience working with cloud and hybrid environments
Work Details
Remote role within Canada
Must attend onsite meetings in Edmonton when required (3 4 times per month or as needed)
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:15 AM 04:30 PM Alberta Time
Candidate must provide their own laptop/computer compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (Windows preferred)
