Custodian

General clean-up including but not limited to sweeping mopping garbage removal and vacuuming and more.
Water Plants throughout the building.
Monitor and maintain building and exterior grounds lighting systems.
Prepare Facility for special events holidays and more by ensuring that all required equipment and material are on site and in working order.
Conduct weekly deficiency inspections of Facility and submit weekly task list to the Manager.
Identify hazards and ensure patron safety in accordance H &S Legislation within all
Maintain all areas to the highest standards.
Assist in creating an environment that is customer focused and performance driven so that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.
Use and safe handling of motorized mechanical equipment in day-to-day duties.
Knowledge and safe handling of chemicals used throughout facility.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Janitorial experience.
WHMIS Training preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding area.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Bilingualism is an asset.
