Credit Contract Appointment, Numeracy and Scientific Literacy

TheDepartment of General Educationinvitesapplications for contract lecturer positions in the area of Numeracy and Scientific Literacy commencing July 2026.

The Department of General Education delivers the General Education program within all of Mount Royals baccalaureate degrees. The General Education program is organized around four thematic clusters.

Successful candidates will be invited to lecture in one of the following foundation-level courses: GNED 1101 - Scientific & Mathematical Literacy for the Modern World; GNED 1003 Innovation.The aims of those courses taught in the Numeracy and Scientific Literacy cluster are to develop an understanding of the nature and methods of subjects in the natural sciences health sciences and computer science as well as providing essential mathematical skills needed for study at the post-secondary level.

Qualifications include a minimum of a Masters Degree in Science Mathematics or Engineering with a Ph.D. preferred and relevant undergraduate teaching and/or professional experience. Qualified Indigenous candidates are encouraged to apply.
