Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $25.174 to $31.256 at 40 hours of work per week

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with City of Edmonton Councillor Thu Parmar and the Ward sipiwiyiniwak team. With over 100000 residents in the southwest ward we are a team dedicated to building public trust and confidence in our local government.
As Council Assistant you will play a key role working closely with the Councillor the team and the community at large to further advance the vision and mission of the office.
What will you do
- Administrative Support:
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for the Councillor including meetings and community engagement events
- Organize and maintain digital and paper documentation
- Constituent Support and Community Outreach:
- Deliver excellent customer service by handling inquiries and concerns from public members via phone email or in person. Ensure prompt service to residents
- Proactively identify issues and escalate them to the Councillor as appropriate
- Attend meetings and events as appropriate
- Communication and Research Support:
- Research and synthesize information to create reports briefing materials and ward communications
- Create monthly newsletter
- Maintain politically sensitive information
