Correctional Registered Psychiatric Nurse

HealthOPM is recruiting a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) for consideration for a temporary correctional health assignment in Victoria BC. We are looking for an RPN with strong mental health and medical skills who is comfortable supporting a complex patient population across mental health substance-use primary and urgent care needs.

• Preferred start: September 28 2026 with commitment through January 31 2027

• Extended shifts; schedule may vary based on operational needs

• No overnight shifts; overtime opportunities may be available

• Full-term availability is preferred; ability to cover the December and January holiday period is required

• Correctional healthcare experience is preferred

• Approved mileage to the assignment and return home reimbursed at $0.61/km; daily commute mileage is not reimbursable

• Travel time reimbursed at $40.00/hour up to 7.5 hours each way to and from the assignment

• Up to $500/month prorated toward a car rental may be considered

• Other transportation expenses are subject to prior approval and applicable reimbursement rules

• Current BCCNM registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse

• Strong mental health and medical/acute care skills

• Current BCLS certification

• Canadian Police Information Check with Vulnerable Persons Check (CPIC-VS) required

• Intermediate OFA (OFA2) preferred and may be required
