Job Summary

Job Summary: The Corporate Accounting Analyst is responsible for processing monthly journal entries performing balance sheet reconciliations allocating costs and actively participating in the month-end close process. This role supports the wider finance department to ensure accurate timely reporting while assisting with tax functions audits and ad-hoc corporate projects

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries intercompany transactions cost allocations
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Collaboratively support the Accounting & Reporting team to meet tight reporting deadlines with precision.
  • Assist with corporate tax filings and provide required documentation and administrative support for internal and external audits.
  • Active involvement in accounting for new initiatives and ad hoc projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • 1 years of experience in Corporate Accounting General Accounting or a related accounting function.
  • Experience preparing journal entries account reconciliations and assisting with month-end close activities.
  • Working knowledge of General Ledger accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel including formulas data analysis and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 3 years of experience in Corporate Accounting Financial Reporting or a related accounting environment.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting cost allocations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting tax filings internal audits and external audits.
  • Construction industry accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and financial data analysis.
  • CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to support process improvements special projects and new business initiatives

Salary Range: $65000 - $75000 DOE
