Job Summary

The Coordinator of Hope Centre works with the Director of CE on researching developing and planning a variety of UFV programming and services that are in accordance with UFV procedures and responsive to the Hope community.

This position oversees the operations of the Hope Centre and actively liaises with internal and external community members to provide access to and services at the Hope Centre. The incumbent provides in-class support to students and administrative support to students and faculty.

The Coordinator Hope Centre acts as the liaison to connect UFV to the community and is the face of the University in Hope Agassiz and local First Nation communities working to ensure facilities remain operational and sustainable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience working in a senior administrative role in an educational setting preferably with an Adult Basic Education or community focus.
  • Experience in training and education market assessment and strategy development.
  • Proficient with Labour Market Information (LMI) tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Access).
  • Experience with LMS and Student Information Systems (Banner preferred).
  • Budget planning monitoring and management experience.
  • Proficient in social media digital marketing and event planning and execution.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-directed and resourceful.
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of UFV and BC Post Secondary system.
