Status:1 Regular Full Time

Hiring Range: $71549 - $80493 per annum

Location: 10 Peel Centre Dr. Brampton ON

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week 11am-7pm. Rotating evening shifts are required from Monday through Sunday weekends and holidays. May change due to operational needs

While you wont be providing direct client care you will report to the Supervisor Centralized Business Unit and play an integral role in maintaining appropriate staffing levels process all personnel changes and ensure accurate pay for all Long Term Care (LTC) and Adult Day Services (ADS) staff.

What you will do in this role:

  • Schedule confirm and verify the daily weekly and monthly scheduling of all LTC & ADS staff across multiple scheduling patterns locations and shifts
  • Update master and active schedules with information related to new hires position changes terminations and leaves of absence as staff complement changes occur
  • Process time off and shift change requests and determine if the request can be accommodated based on departmental thresholds staffing levels and collective agreement rules
  • Answer monitor and act on the Central Staff Phone Line and the ZZG-LTC CBSU mailbox
  • Process all changes for bargaining and non-bargaining staff relevant to salary status classification changes terminations and other duties as required
  • Maintain seniority lists according to collective agreements
  • Support the completion of employee illness and other specific documentation for short term disability (STD). Report all lost hours (by employee) to the Disability Coordinator on a timely basis
  • Ensure that all staffing data including attendance is kept updated daily in PeopleSoft generate reports related to the scheduling and payroll operations and complete required monthly statistical recording tracking and reports
  • Complete required audits and participates in relevant aspects of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program to evaluate and improve client services

What the role requires

  • A college diploma in business or office administration plus one (1) year payroll and/or scheduling experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered
  • Experience in a health care setting is preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency with working knowledge of MS Word Excel Outlook and Electronic Information Management (EIM) system
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience with computerized payroll systems and scheduling systems (i.e. PeopleSoft JBS) and related processes
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures general accounting procedures and skills to process payroll data etc
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to answer inquiries and resolve scheduling and payroll challenges and conflicts

In this role youll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.

Its important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that were compliant with all regulations and policies.
