About the Role
Were looking for aPeople & CultureCo-Op Studentto join ourPeople & Culture position will be reporting to thePeopleOperations Specialist and is for the September 2026 - December 2026 co-op term.

WhatYoullDo

  • Performance & DevelopmentShadow leader conversations where the P&C Business Partner is rolling out the skills matrixpartner with a leader and P&C Business Partner toassistwithdevelopingthe matrix for their team and track participation in any training initiatives
  • Engagement & RetentionAssistwitheNPScoordination and resultscompilationassistwith the CSR Committee(MS Cares Q4 initiative fundraisersand planning for 2027) and update the P&C slides for Town Halls
  • Talent Acquisition Create job postings review applications shadow phone screens andassistwith rolling out the co-op program for 2027
  • People Analytics & ReportingEnsure data is traced accurately in HRIS (BambooHR) and learn how metrics are used in decision making
  • Onboarding&OffboardingAssist with onboardingpreparation shadow first day orientationsshadow exit interviews and coordinate checklists and tracking for employee exists
  • Miscellaneous Administrative TasksAssist with data entry in various P&C-related systems andemployee handbook policy creation & updates

YoullAlso Work on the Following Projects:

  • Employee resource group creation(approximately 15 hours to complete)
  • People and Culture Moments Calendar with campaign plans -Build an annual calendar of key cultural and awareness dates with a brief activation plan for each including internal & external communications(approximately 30 hours to complete)
  • BambooHR file migration and data clean-up(approximately80hoursto complete)

What You Bring

  • Currentlyenrolledin a post-secondaryprogramwith aCanadian institution in BusinessAdministrationHumanResources or related field
  • Experience withdigital productivity tools (Microsoft 365 Google Workspace or similar)
  • Experienceusing a Human Resource Information System (BambooHR preferred)
  • Familiarity with compliance and training platforms such asEasyLlamaUdemy or similar
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively in both written and verbal form
  • Active listening skillsdemonstratingattention to stakeholder needs the ability to ask clarifying questions and confirm understanding before acting
  • The ability to build relationships across different business functions and show a team-oriented attitude
  • Demonstrates proactive communication byidentifyingand raising issues early providing regular progress updates and confidently escalating blockers when needed
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative fast-moving environment

Compensation:$21.67 $31.53CAD perhour (asdeterminedby work term)

This rolerequires working onsite in ourCambridgeoffice(96 Grand Ave S Unit 101 Cambridge ON N1S 2L9)two days per week.
