Co-Op Student Clinical Operations & Strategy Analyst
Job Summary
Accountabilities:
- Exposure to different aspects of hospital operations including clinical workflows process optimization service delivery design and hospital governance
- Engage with diverse departments and professionals across the organization including opportunities to interact with senior leaders
- Assist in facilitating planning sessions with both clinical and non-clinical partners
- Operate in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Provide project support for initiatives relating to clinical priorities or planning activities
- Support the uninsured patients project to implement Oslers new policy processes and communication strategy for this patient group
- Support the reporting of year-end goals and development of new year goals for the organization
- Support the design and operational planning for the second phase of Peel Memorial
- Support the development of presentation materials and conduct secondary research; deliver them to senior leadership
- Prepare briefing notes status reports and business cases for internal and external audiences
- Participate in team meetings brainstorming sessions and meetings with various internal stakeholders (clinicians managers directors decision support staff etc.)
Qualifications :
- Must be currently enrolled at a Post-Secondary Institution with a co-op requirement
- Enrollment/interest in Health Services Management
- Experience with project management and demonstrated ability to keep partners effectively involved in the process to meet milestones and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills both in presentations and writing
- Ability to analyze and interpret healthcare performance data / information
- Excellent time management and work prioritization skills
- Ability to collaborate with team members and work autonomously
- Understanding of Ontario health system structures and major organizations at provincial regional and local levels
- Secondary research skills (using academic and grey literature sources)
Additional Information :
Hours: Currently days including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Hybrid: Roles that function remotely but require essential regular onsite weekly work.
Salary:
Minimum: $17.60 per hour
Maximum: $24.60 per hour
