Co-op Product Designer Electrical

We are on a journey of continuous growth now looking for our next star a passionate Co-op Product Designer - Electrical. This position reports to Electrical Engineering Manager and will work in Vancouver B.C.

**Please note that this position is open to current students enrolled in a Canadian accredited university and co-op program.

Vancouver:

Dometic Marines headquarters are in Vancouver British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic electronic and combustion-based products.

As Co-op Product Designer - Electrical on the Vancouver team you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks supporting administrative engineering and technical staff throughout the facility.

General Responsibilities

• Performelectronicsensorandmotorevaluationprototypeassemblytest and analysis
• Researchanddesignconceptsolutions
• Analyzefunctionalperformanceforcomponentsandproductsandhelpidentify improvements
• Schematic and PCB development
• Circuit design including schematic creation and component selection
• Trouble-shooting of product and development designs

Skills & Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an Engineering program at an accredited university preferably in the electrical/electronic mechatronic engineering-physics or similar disciplines
• Strongproblemsolvinganddecision-makingabilities
• ExcellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskillsinEnglish
• Well-developedorganizationalskillswiththeabilitytomanageavarietyoftasks
• ProficiencywithMSOfficeprogramsincluding:WordExcelOutlookand PowerPoint; and the willingness to learn other applications quickly
• An interest in mechatronic devices
• Previous experience reading electrical schematics is an asset

Salary range: $24.00 - $28.00 CAD per hour
