Whats exciting about this position
As a Cloud Security Engineer at Sectra you will help protect the cloud environments supporting our medical imaging solutions. You will work closely with Cloud Engineering Security and Customer Operations to implement security controls identify and address vulnerabilities and support secure reliable services for our healthcare customers.
This is a mid-level individual contributor role for someone who can independently manage defined security tasks troubleshoot issues and contribute to improvements with guidance on more complex security and architecture decisions.
As a Cloud Security Engineer you will:
- Implement and maintain security controls across cloud infrastructure including identity and access management network security encryption and logging.
- Review cloud configurations to identify security gaps and work with engineering teams to address them.
- Monitor and investigate security alerts support incident response and document findings and corrective actions.
- Assess and prioritize vulnerabilities coordinate remediation and verify that issues have been resolved.
- Support secure deployment and operation of cloud services through configuration reviews and security checks.
- Maintain least-privilege access role-based permissions and secure management of credentials and secrets.
- Develop scripts and automation to improve security monitoring configuration checks and repeatable processes.
- Contribute to security standards technical documentation and incident response procedures.
- Support audits and customer security reviews by providing technical evidence and documenting implemented controls.
- Collaborate with global teams to improve cloud security while maintaining service availability and performance.
- Participate in occasional work outside standard business hours for security incidents or planned maintenance as required.
