Under the general supervision of the Program Team Manager and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital the Endocrine Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care for patients with endocrine disturbances; and performing other related duties as assigned.
- Three (3) to five (5) years related clinical experience preferably in Endocrinology.
- Current C.R.N.M registration required.
- B.N. preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Post-basic course in advanced assessment and nursing skills preferred.
- Current CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise.
- Ability to adapt readily to changing demands and situations.
- Demonstrated effective teaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
